Direct Physician Access is a physician-led membership created by Dr. Stephen Balleh, a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, built around direct access to emergency physician judgment when medical concerns arise and it's not clear what to do next. Available to local households in the Fredericksburg/Spotsylvania area, as well as remote members throughout Virginia.
Most urgent care and emergency visits are driven not by crisis, but by uncertainty. Direct Physician Access was built to help families navigate that uncertainty with earlier access to experienced emergency physician judgment.
Direct Physician Access is not traditional primary care and does not replace emergency services. It is designed to help fill the gap when primary care is delayed, limited, unavailable, or you are between physicians and would value timely guidance from an emergency physician experienced in managing urgent, uncertain, and evolving medical situations.
For families who already have strong primary care or concierge access, it fills a different need: ER-level triage and decision support for acute, time-sensitive issues, with continuity as those situations evolve.
